What is the Illuminati?

The name “Illuminati” has come under great fire. When people think of Illuminati, they think of a sinister group looking to implement a global totalitarian dictatorship where the masses have no freedoms or no sense of individuality. But is this group really what the “Illuminati” is. It’s been a while, but my writer friend from Australia, Consummate Ilias Mahatma has a few words on this very subject.
What is the “Illuminati”

Illuminati is a Greek word meaning Illumination… a name given to those who submitted to Christian baptism. Those who were baptized were called Illuminati or Illuminated / Enlightened Ones by the Ante-Nicene clergy, on the assumption that those who were instructed for baptism in the Apostolic faith had an enlightened understanding. The Alumbrados, a mystical 16th-century Spanish sect, were among the societies that subsequently adopted the name Illuminati. Since Illuminati literally means ‘enlightened ones’ in Latin, it is natural that several unrelated historical groups have identified themselves as Illuminati. Often, this was due to claims of possessing gnostic texts or other arcane information not generally available. The designation illuminati was also in use from the 14th century by the Brethren of the Free Spirit, and in the 15th century was assumed by other enthusiasts who claimed that the illuminating light came, not by being communicated from an authoritative but secret source, but from within, the result of exalted consciousness, or “enlightenment”.Illuminati is a Greek word meaning Illumination… a name given to those who submitted to Christian baptism. The Illuminati – What is it? – Who is it? Just the sound of its name evokes a sense of mystery and foreboding. Yet the word itself is derived from lumen or light: that which casts off light. Its meaning is shrouded in a veil of mystery; even most members are unaware of the inner source that emanates a hidden purpose across the ages of time. The energy is subtle yet powerful; gentle yet brutal; inviting yet deceitful. Anomalies and contradictions clothe its body like the multi-layered skin of an onion; which when peeled back reveals that smell – the smell that hangs around, festering with the passage of time. No other group in the New World Order Series has had the secrecy, intrigue, misinformation, and misunderstanding of the Illuminati; a tangled web of obfuscation and entrapment, rivaled only by Arachne herself. The Illuminati is, and has always been, deeply involved with the occult: that which remains hidden from sight; a most fitting description of the subject before us. It is said by many to be the mother of all secret societies, a secret society within a secret society, which would be better said: a secret society within secret societies in the plural, as its modus operandi is stealth infiltration that seeps deep into unwary hosts, as a plague unto the earth. Origins: Illuminati is a Greek word, and this alone speaks to its ancient heritage. Throughout the ages the name has been used to refer to many different groups or sects. Some are very secret – others not so secret. Some are known – others not known. From the time of Christ, those that received baptism by fire, as opposed to baptism by water, were said to be initiated into the inner way, henceforth consciously treading upon the path towards enlightenment. This is the true meaning, which accords and aligns itself, as the right hand path. In Latin Illuminati means “enlightened ones”. Very few enter upon the inner way. As Christ said, “it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle, then it is to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” During the 15th century in Spain there was a “mystic” group called the Alumbrados or Iluminados. They were a Gnostic sect whose origins can be traced back to Italy – to the Carbonari – the charcoal-burners. In the 17th and 18th century a group referred to as the Illumines was active in France, with connections to the Alumbrados of Spain.

  1. Ya know, I was reading, and hoping that you were someone who actually knew what they were talking about. But when you misquoted the Bible- when you misquoted that key verse Jesus said- you showed yourself to be less than what I had hoped you were- you showed yourself to be less than accurate- less than true.

Let me cut and paste it for you, and I’ll put what you omitted and misspelled in CAPS so that you can see it for yourself- you wrote ” As Christ said, “it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle, then it is to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”” But what the Word of God really says is “it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle THAN it is FOR A RICH MAN to enter the Kingdom of GOD”

Why are you trying to screw up the Bible, buddy? Plus, What’s up with the cut and pasting action of the first paragraph? And what’s up with the truncated article?

    You…you are less than average.
